CLAUDE ALEXANDER III

 
 

Originally from Washington, D.C, Claude attended Towson University in Baltimore, MD where he studied Dance Performance under the mentorship of Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell and Vincent Thomas. Additionally, he studied at The Ailey School, Parsons Dance and Dallas Black Dance Theatre’s summer programs. Alexander previously performed with the Dallas Black Dance Theatre as a principal artist from 2010-2022. During his last few years with the company he was promoted to Co-Rehearsal Director. He’s also performed as a guest artist with B. Moore Dance, Dance Iquail!, Tuzer Ballet, Ballet Frontier and Dallas Ballet Center. Notably, Claude has performed in Dallas Theater Center’s 2011 production of ‘The Wiz’ and the 2017 TITAS Command Performance Gala. As a choreographic assistant to Bridget L. Moore, Alexander has worked with Ailey II and Bruce Wood Dance in 2016. Claude’s choreography has been presented at several dance festivals to include Jacob’s Pillow, SummerStage in NYC, International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference and Festival, Battery Dance Festival and the International Festival of Arts and Ideas. Most recently, Claude was a member of Bruce Wood Dance. He currently works on faculty at the Joffrey Ballet School TX and as a freelance artist, teacher and choreographer.
